Pope-Benedict-XVIAfter learning that Pope Benedict XVI had suffered a minor accident, three nuns rushed to his holiday home to make sure he was OK.

Pope Benedict had slipped in the bathroom and fractured his wrist at his summer holiday chalet in Les Combes.

The three nuns, aged 56, 65 and 78 were driving at 120mph in their Ford Fiesta when police pulled them over.

A spokesman for Turin’s police, said: “Hopefully Sister Tavoletta will be making sure she confesses her bad driving the next she goes to confession. But in the meantime, she will have to pay the Euros 375 fine (£325).”

But Sister Tavoletta, who also lost her driving licence for a month, has not meekly accepted this rebuke. Instead, she will appeal against the fine with the aid of Italy’s best known lawyer in driving cases, Anna Orecchioni.

The Tata Nano, created by Tata Motors costs only 123,360 rupees ($2,531), with upgrades such as air conditioning and cup holders available for up to $3,536 more. The Nano is set to revolutionize the transport industry in India.

From the 203,000 people who pre-ordered the Nano, 100,000 of them were selected from a ballot to be the first to get their hands on the car.

With an engine of just 624 cubic centimeters, it is smaller than those found in motorcycles and has been compared to the European Smart Car and the Volkswagen Beetle.

The vehicle is set to come to the U.S. in two years…Just in time for us to be out of the recession?

The Snaefell. Image: breganzane

The result of 10 years work and 15000 Euros is this – the Snaefell.

“What is it?” I hear you ask. Well it’s a rather flash looking sidecar made from a Laverda motorcycle. With a 1000cc triple engine, 3 exhausts, stylish interior and excellent attention to detail, it really is a work of art.

All this was hand made by an amateur. Well done my friend.
