YouTube user, dabedoo has highlighted how many times Disney’s animators have reused sequences in different movies. What a bunch of lazy bones.

Here is the world’s most expensive television set. It’s not the size of the screen or some breakthrough technology that’s given it a huge price tag though – it’s because it’s encrusted in diamonds and covered with gold.

British designer, Stuart Hughes will only make a total of three PrestigeHD Supreme Rose televisions. Each set will have a 55-inch screen with a 28kg frame made from solid 18-carat rose gold. The outer frames will be encrusted with 72 round cut one-carat flawless diamonds.

Hundreds of tiny sunstones and amethysts are mixed into the gold frame, while inner frame will be made from hand-sewn alligator skin. As for the price, it’s a whopping £1,500,000 ($2,300,000).

Hughes is also producing 10 cheaper versions of the PrestigeHD Supreme. They will only have 19 kilograms of gold and 48 diamonds, for a price tag of £1 million ($1,500,000). I think I’ll take two.

This will probably make more sense to those of you who are familiar with British television, when the BBC hands over to Ceefax during the night (when nobody’s watching). For those of you who don’t know much about Ceefax, it’s the BBC’s teletext information service transmitted via the analogue signal, which began in 1974 and is set to run until 2012.

This is for all you Simpsons fans out there who have ever wondered what Simpsons characters would like like as a “real” humans? Monomauve has created a fantastic 3D model of Mr. Burns as a “real” human, but has still managed to keep the original character’s essence. Excellent.

Warner Bros. is negotiating to acquire feature rights to the landmark shooter from Taito, the Japanese company that originally manufactured the game.

It’s not surprising that Warner Bros. would look to jump-start a Space Invaders movie; last summer the studio bought Midway, the video game’s U.S. publisher (which does not control theatrical rights), and also is developing a feature of another video game, “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.”

If Warner Bros. can make a Space Invaders film, then why not make a ‘Tetris’ one? Alternatively, I can see huge appeal for ‘Pong’ on the silver screen.

Disney have become concerned that Mickey Mouse has become too much of a corporate symbol, and so they’ve decided to give a makeover.

It’s a massive risk for Disney, but one they hope will pay off in the long term. We’ll first get a glimpse of the new Mickey next year in a new video game, Epic Mickey, in which the formerly squeaky clean character can be cantankerous and cunning, as well as heroic, as he traverses a forbidding wasteland.

Peter Hitchener, a news anchorman, remains unflappable when a ‘giant’ seagull walks behind him during a bulletin in Australia.

The timing could not have been worse as Hitchener was trying read a story about organised crime in the city.

“I was reading away and it was a serious story, and I suddenly thought ‘Oh my gosh, that seagull’s back again’, because we had a bit of a problem last night,” Hitchener told a radio station afterwards.

He explained that the seagull had appeared moments before the programme went on air, alarming the producers.

“About 50 seconds to six o’clock this seagull arrived and started pecking at the camera and it had the beadiest huge eyes you’ve ever seen in your life.”

Beware of homicidal lamps … although you’ve got to feel a tiny bit sorry for ‘him’ at the end. Who doesn’t love lamp?

Take a look at what has got to be the ultimate geek marriage proposal. One very creative guy called Brad Smith, used a program called Lunar Magic to create his very own Super Mario level, with the words “Lisa … Will You Marry Me?”, written out in coins at the end of the game. He then coaxed his girlfriend into playing some Super Mario and voila, she said yes! What a genius.

Here’s Glenn Beck slamming Obama for encouraging volunteerism – 10/19/09. Maybe this theory will get him some viewers, or maybe not. Not the best idea you’ve ever had, was it Glenn?

The Simpsons is giving one lucky contest winner the chance to create their very own Simpsons character which will appear on the show.

The contest, part of the Fox show’s 20th-anniversary celebration, will open Friday and end Oct. 24, and the new Springfield resident will appear in an early 2010 episode featuring Coldplay’s Chris Martin as guest star.

Executive producer Al Jean says online submissions at thesimpsons.com should be “pithy and funny.” Jean will help judge them.

The winner gets a trip to Los Angeles to work with producers and the show’s animation director.

Jean says the contest is a thank-you to loyal “Simpsons” viewers. The top entry will be announced in mid-November.

The contest is open to over 18s only, so let’s get drawing, people!

This is incredibly harsh, but at the same time you can’t help but laugh.

A Japanese hidden camera show called ‘Panic Face King’ goes extreme on this poor guy, luring him into a fake meeting in which everyone is killed by a sniper except for him. He is definitely the panic face king.

Here is the much anticipated, official Toy Story 3 trailer which is set for release on 8 June 2010. The plot goes a little something like this:

Woody, Buzz, and the rest of their toy-box friends are dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, departs for college.

It is the only time Anne Frank has ever been captured on film. At the time of her wedding, the bride lived on the second floor at Merwedeplein 39. The Frank family lived at number 37, also on the second floor. The Anne Frank House can offer you this film footage thanks to the cooperation of the couple.

I don’t mean to scare you or anything, but this is the 5 minute trailer which has just been released online for the upcoming 2012 movie. It looks pretty cheesy, but how ‘un-cheesy’ can a film about the end of the world be?

Drew Carey has bid $100,000 to buy the Twitter account @drew in an online charity auction for cancer support.

The sale is brainchild of Drew Olanoff, a Twitter user who has used the internet to encourage a positive approach to living with cancer since being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in May.

On Friday he announced that he was inviting bids of more than $10,000 for his @drew account – a prime piece of Twitter real estate which he claimed as one of the micro-blogging site’s early adopters.
Yesterday Carey, who is also well known as the host of the US version of the improv comedy show Whose Line Is It Anyway?, posted an update from his @DrewFromTV account saying that he was willing to stump up $25,000.

He later sent a message to Olanoff saying that he would raise his offer to $100,000 if the his follower count reached 100,000 by the end of the auction on Nov 9.

The number of people subscribing to Carey’s feed increased from 13,000 to more than 18,000 within hours, as news of his bid spread around Twitter.
